Bob Western

Welcome to my website.

There are three versions of the site, depending on what device you are using. Your browser should chose the correct version automatically, but should you chose, you can use the links below to see each for yourself. Each has a different layout and presentation of material. They all look fine on a laptop or desktop computer, but the main site will be a bit challenging on a cell phone. Explore and have fun.

Check out my in-site blog, La Vérité, a frank discourse on art and wildlife photography (i.e., art industry practices, photo ethics, the use of flying cameras, etc.)  I can’t guarantee there will be an entry every month, but you can give me input any time at fineart@bobwestern.com. I will post all relevant comments in an upcoming Feedback page – whether you agree with me or not. Although, turnabout is fair play.

I have new digital art, of the streams and landscapes of Northern California, called The Clear Creek Collection; a Nature Profile column, featuring the plants and animals I encounter in my travels; a tongue and cheek series, called Parting Shot, and coming later this year a “one of a kind” print collection - essentially an edition of one.

Stay tuned for news of three upcoming e-books, a photo guide titled Outdoor Photography - professional tips and tricks (an app for smart phone and pad); The Wildlife Viewers Handbook: Monterey Bay, which describes where to find the common plants and animals of central California; and my new book, Sanctuary, a celebration of the life along the central California coast.

There are a lot of new things on the horizon, so stop for a moment, bookmark this site, and come back often.

Thanks for dropping by,

Bob Western
